Your Guide to Choosing the Best Vanity for your Bathroom

A bathroom vanity is an important part of any modern home. Because of its practicality and aesthetic benefit, it usually serves as the central feature of a bathroom. That is why homeowners must pick a style and design that complements the bathroom and the rest of the home. If you are looking for the best options to make a vanity yours, check out vanités Entrepot Cuisine. Also, this guide can help you make informed decisions:

Picking the Vanity Size

You must know exactly how wide and tall you want the vanity. This will help you determine the placement of the vanity, the features it should have, and how much budget you need. Would you like a single-sink or double-sink vanity? A single-sink unit can range from 24 inches to 48 inches in width while a double-sink vanity is often 60 inches to 72 inches wide. Ensure the vanity counter’s top hits somewhere between your hip and lower chests to allow for easy access.

Determining the Vanity Placement

Having the vanity hidden behind a door will make your bathroom look empty from the outside. If you put it somewhere in the middle of the room may make it awkward to navigate the bathroom. Because of this, you must plan where to place the vanity inside the bathroom. Never place it in areas that you walk through, to avoid bumping into it constantly. Also, doors and walls can limit the available space, so place the vanity in the bathrooms’ central space, away from the door and against the widest wall.

Choosing Vanity Features

A vanity is where you will get ready in the morning or before parties. Also, it is where you keep your toiletries and towels. Thus, ensure your new vanity has the following features:

  • Sinks. Think about the number of sinks you need. While multiple sinks can ease the morning traffic, it can decrease countertop space.
  • Countertop space. If you will be storing toiletries or makeup at your vanity, you may need a bit more counter space than just a sink. Have at least 5 inches of countertop space on either side of the sink.
  • Cabinets. Vanity cabinets will give you space for storing spare towels, toiletries, and bathrobes in an orgnised environment. Buy cabinets that have lockable doors to keep small children or pets from accessing anything inside the cabinets.
  • Mirrors. You can pick from simple mirror designs to abstract shapes. Also, you can choose vanity mirrors that have built-in lights to fit your needs.
